海洋汚染1．5京ベクレル超＝東電推定の3倍―原子力機構が試算・福島第1原発
東京電力福島第1原発事故で、日本原子力研究開発機構は8日までに、汚染水の流出に加え、大気中からの降下分などを合わせた海洋への放射能放出総量が1．5京（1京は1兆の1万倍）ベクレルを超えるとの試算をまとめた。東電は4～5月に海に流出した汚染水の放射能量を約4720兆ベクレルと推定しているが、試算はこの3倍以上に達する。
原子力機構の小林卓也研究副主幹（海岸工学）らは、漏えいした汚染水の影響に加え、東電が公表したモニタリング数値などを用いて、大気中に出されたヨウ素131とセシウム137が海に降り注いだ状況をシミュレーション。同原発放水口付近の海水から放射性物質が初めて検出された3月21日から4月30日までの放出総量を試算した。
その結果、海に放出されたヨウ素131は1．14京ベクレル、セシウム137が0．36京ベクレルで、計1．5京ベクレルとなった。セシウム134はシミュレーションでは考慮していないことから、放出総量はこれを超えるという。
